Perfection in Anything is Poison

The idea of having perfection in anything is poison. Because it will either slow you down or even worse, will stop you. In life, of course, but especially in business.
Whenever you want to do something perfect or wanna be perfectionist. Remember few things.
  • Perfection is a lie.
  • Perfection is your perception.
  • You will never get anything perfect.
  • If you ever got anything perfect, it is because you thought it to be perfect. Not because it was actually perfect.
  • Market or world doesn't reward perfect.
  • Perfect will make you slow or even worse, will make you stop.
But the question is how to get this kind of thinking out of our heads?
Answer is simple. How to not be perfectionist? Aim to be an imperfectionist. It means you don't try to get anything right, you don't try to do it right or perfect. You just aim to do it. And just improve it by a bit next time. Then on next rep you improve it a bit and so on. Purpose is to do it and suck at it. Then suck little less, then suck even lesser than that. After that you start to get little good at it. And then little more good. Then after several reps you get better and so on and on. Aim to be imperfectionist. The best saying I have in mind is of Elon Musk, "Assume we're already wrong. The goal is to be less wrong." So, focus on progress and never perfection.

Four Most Common and Avoidable Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make in the Shark Tank Pitch

Shark Tank is an American business reality television series that gives any entrepreneur a chance to pitch their business (not just idea) and ask for money in return for fair percentage of equity in their business. A lot of entrepreneurs get a deal out of tank,  a lot of them don't. Some entrepreneurs get exactly what they were asking for and few gets more money with more valuation and more sharks in the deal. But a lot of entrepreneurs don't get the deal or they lose some of the sharks because of one of these mistakes.  I haven't watched all of the Shark Tank episodes but from the episodes I have watched, these were the mistakes I found that were mostly deal breakers and could have been avoided most certainly. 1. Valuing their company extremely higher than they can prove it This is, I would say, the number one point most sharks struggle to deal with: Entrepreneurs have valued their company way higher than they can prove. Because of absurdly high valuation that sharks can...
